SERDANG, 12 November 2024 –
Centre for Industry Relations and Networks-CiRNeT Universiti Putra Malaysia in collaboration with The Japanese Chamber of Trade & Industry, Malaysia (JACTIM), successfully organized the “UPM & JACTIM Industry-Academia Forum 2024” at the Auditorium Rashdan Baba, Office of the Vice Chancellor (Research & Innovation) Building. The forum served as a strategic platform to strengthen the relationship between academic institutions and the industrial sector, while fostering the development of future talent.
The event attracted nearly 60 participants, including industry representatives, lecturers from public and private universities, as well as students from public universities around the Klang Valley. The strong attendance highlights the high level of commitment in fostering closer cooperation between the academic world and the industry sector, providing a valuable space for the exchange of ideas, perspectives, and experiences.
CiRNeT would like to express its sincere gratitude to the distinguished panelists Prof Dato' Dr. Shamala Subramaniam, Mr Jaziri Alkaf Abdillah Mr Suffian Hasnul Nadzrin Shah Mr Chiew Jun Hao Mr Simone Macario Ms Tara Méité Dato' Nathan K Suppiah Mr Junji Hosokawa and moderator Dato' Bruce Lim Aun Choong.
CiRNeT also extends its thanks to all those who contributed to the success of this program, particularly the students who attended and took the opportunity to learn from and engage with industry leaders. This forum is expected to have a positive impact in strengthening academic-industry collaboration and paving the way for a brighter future for the next generation.
