UPM INDUSTRY PROGRAM SUCCESSFULLY TRANSFORMS FUTURE-READY SKILLS

 
Serdang, 5 December 2024 – The program organized by the Centre for Industry Relations and Networks-CiRNeT, Universiti Putra Malaysia, in collaboration with the School of Business and Economics, Universiti Putra Malaysia , Fakulti Pengajian Pendidikan UPM, Fakulti Sains Komputer dan Teknologi Maklumat UPM , Faculty of Science UPM, Fakulti Bahasa Moden dan Komunikasi UPM, and InvestKL, was successfully held at the School of Business and Economics, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM).
The program was officiated by Prof. Dr. Ir. BT Hang Tuah Baharudin, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Industry and Community Relations), and gathered over 100 participants comprising UPM students and staff.
 
 
Key activities included corporate exhibitions, an industry forum, parallel sessions for career readiness clinics, and a relaxed session with leading CEOs. Esteemed industry partners such as InvestKL, Huntsman Corporation, SRKAY Consulting Group, AkzoNobel, Asian Strategy & Leadership Institute, KONE, GCabxi (M) Sdn Bhd, and Inspire Group actively participated in the event.
 
 
The program aimed to highlight industry leadership in innovation and global competitiveness, promote talent development and future-ready skills and showcase the positive economic and cultural spillover effects achievable through strong university-industry collaboration.
 
 
This program's success underscores UPM's active role in providing a robust platform for students and staff to engage with industry leaders, equipping them with essential skills and knowledge to face future challenges effectively.
