July 13, 2023, Serdang - the Center for Industry Relation and Network (CiRNeT) organized a session titled "Meet and Greet with Japanese Companies with Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM)" held at Anjung Ilmu, Sultan Abdul Samad Library, UPM.

This Meet and Greet session was part of the CEO@PTJ Program. The event, organized by CiRNeT, aimed to facilitate a sharing session and promote UPM's services, research, and commercialization of innovations to Japanese companies.

During the session, Japanese companies had the opportunity to engage with UPM in potential collaborations, including research projects, industrial grant research, engaging activities, internship opportunities, interview sessions, and job placements. The objective of this event was to foster collaboration between UPM and industry partners, aligning with the goals of our 2021-2025 Strategic Plan, specifically focusing on the Industrial and Community Networking Ecosystem. The event aimed to open up funding opportunities, services, research, commercialization of innovations, and training programs.

The program was attended by almost 250 participants, including UPM lecturers and students from various study programs. Additionally, representatives from 13 Japanese companies based in Malaysia participated in the event by organizing exhibitions and a career fair.
