PUCHONG, 26 Jan 2023 -  In order to share experiences and ideas with industry partners about sustainability initiatives that have been implemented at Universiti Putra Malaysia, Centre for Industrial Relation and Network (CiRNeT) organized a showcase visit to the Sultan Idris Shah Forestry Education Center (SISFEC) with the participation of six industries. This visit occurred on January 26, 2023, between 9 am and 12:30 pm. CiRNeT's Director, YBhg. Prof. Dr. Shamsul Bahri Hj. Dr. Tamrin, gave a welcome address to kick off the program. "A program like this has an effect that, in part, piques the industry's interest in working with UPM to implement and conduct research on ESG, a matter that is important to all sectors. Due to this, CiRNeT UPM will continue to be dedicated to promoting sustainability initiatives that UPM has implemented in a variety of aspects, "he said.

The program continued with a brief briefing on the Sultan Idris Shah Forestry Education Center (SISFEC) by Mr. Mohd Farhan Shahrin, Head of the Natural Resources Section who is also a Forest Conservator before the main activity which was a tour around the SISFEC area. After the tour session ended, the program continued with the Sustainability Initiative Information session at UPM which Dr. Mohammad Nazrin Abdul Malik delivered from the Faculty of Forestry and Environment (FHAS).

UPM's collaboration with Industry in the implementation of this sustainability activity is an effort to ensure that the 17th goal in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Partnership for the Goals can be achieved together in 2030.
