In an effort to strengthen the relationship between the university and industry community, the Center for Industry Relations and Networking (CiRNeT) and the Center for Transformation and Community (UCTC) at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) successfully organized the "Majlis Apresiasi Industri dan Komuniti” on August 22, 2023. This event, which took place from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at The Everly Hotel, Putrajaya, brought together key individuals from academia, industry, and the community, reflecting the important roles of CiRNeT and UCTC as connectors to the industry and community.

The event was inaugurated by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Industry and Community), reflecting UPM's commitment to building relationships beyond the academic sphere. The event was also attended by CiRNeT's strategic partners such as the Ministry of Economy, Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC), Tanah Makmur Berhad (TMB), and other industry representatives. The presence of various industries demonstrates the effectiveness of CiRNeT in fostering meaningful connections between the academic and industrial worlds to ensure that this relationship can be mutually beneficial.

CiRNeT, as a leader in industry awards, highlighted its core functions during this event. Among the awards given were the best student industrial networking project, the best academic staff industrial networking project, and the best industry partner. Through these awards, it promotes collaboration between UPM and various industries, injecting enthusiasm and creating more opportunities for collaboration between UPM members and industry stakeholders.
