Cooperation between Bank Rakyat and UPM in improving the competence of Bank Rakyat Staff

9 February 2023, Kuala Lumpur - Centre for Industrial Relation and Network(CiRNeT) held a discussion session and developed a memorandum of agreement (MoA) with Bank Rakyat to strengthen cooperation in the development of Bank Rakyat staff competencies. This includes short-term skills training offers and opportunities to further study at UPM. The session was also attended by the Legal Adviser's Office, UPM as well as the UPM's Academic Division.

Through this MoA, Bank Rakyat and UPM will work together to implement a short-term skills training program aimed at improving the skills and abilities of Bank Rakyat staff not only in banking and finance but also in agriculture. This training program will be provided by UPM and coordinate with Bank Rakyat's specific needs and requirements.

In addition, this MoA also provides opportunities for Bank Rakyat staff to further their studies at UPM. UPM will provide courses and educational programs related to the banking and finance industry, and eligible Bank Rakyat staff will be given the opportunity to continue their studies in these fields.

This collaboration is expected to provide significant benefits to Bank Rakyat staff, who will be able to improve their skills and abilities in the increasingly complex and changing banking and financial industry. In addition, this collaboration will strengthen the relationship between Bank Rakyat and UPM in advancing Malaysia's banking and finance industry.
