21 December 2023, Serdang- Center for Industry Relations and Networks-CiRNeT conducted a discussion session with Berjaya Sompo Insurance Berhad on 20 December 2023 at the JINM UPM Meeting Room. This session aims to review the potential of cooperation between the two parties, with a main focus on industry training opportunities, sponsorships, and cooperation in the field of corporate social responsibility (CSR) related to ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) and SDG (Sustainable Development). goals).

In the discussion, industrial training opportunities at Berjaya Sompo Insurance Berhad, which are open to students from various fields, were also discussed. A one-off sponsored promotion with no strings attached every year is also a focus, while Trainee Management opportunities with a monthly income of 3,500 Malaysian Ringgit are offered to newly graduated students.

This prestigious discussion session was also attended by Mr. Tsuyoshi Seto, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Berjaya Sompo Insurance Berhad, Mr. Mohd Fauzi Kassim M.AHRI, IGNLPTM/ABNLP - Human Resource Manager (Organizational Development) Berjaya Sompo Insurance Berhad, Dr. Suryati Ishak - Senior Lecturer at the School of Business and Economics, Universiti Putra Malaysia and Economics (SPE) UPM, and Mrs. Manisah Othman - Lecturer at the School of Business and Economics (SPE).

This collaboration marks CiRNeT's proactive step in building a close relationship with the industry, as well as opening opportunities for joint development and growth between Universiti Putra Malaysia and Berjaya Sompo Insurance Berhad.
