UNIQUE INDUSTRIAL TRAINING AT DAGAM FARM, SOUTH KOREA
The industrial training at Dagam Farm, South Korea has started since 2014. On 12 April 2017, UPM has signed an MoU with the farm to officially recognize this program to put UPM students in the field for 3 months every year.
Dagam Farm is located in Changwon, South Korea, which is about 30km from the city of Busan and was established in 1936. The main products of the farm is the production of Persimmons in large scale and with high technology. In addition, the farm also produces rice, strawberries, potatoes, melons, plums and vegetables as well as downstream products. In addition to agricultural production, the farm is quite popular among Korean and foreign tourists for its agricultural education programme that uses the concept of Agro-Edutourism.
Through this MoU, Dagam Farm will receive UPM students from the following academic programmes for training;
