The CEO@Faculty Programme is an initiative by the Ministry of Higher Education, Malaysia since 2015, involving direct interaction between more than 45 CEOs of various industries with universiti students in the country. The programme was designed with the ultimate goal of positioning Malaysia to a greater height by combining the knowledge and experience of both the industries and academics.
As part of the Malaysian Education Blueprint 2015-2025 (for Higher Eduaction), it is our nation’s aspiration to produce graduates with balance and holistic attributes. This CEO@faculty Programme is expected to help universities to improve the existing curriculum through the sharing of knowledge, experiences and best practices from the CEOs to formulate a new integrated activity via a holistic learning.
On 3rd September 2015, UPM has invited Dr. Richard Parker, the Director of Research & Technology, Rolls-Royce Group as the first guest of the programme. In 2016, the Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia has appointed four CEOs and Senior Government Officials to collaborate with UPM:
Among the responsibilities of the appointed CEOs is to share experience and knowledge of the corporate world with UPM staffs and students. Other than that, they will engage the students in order to enhance their graduate employability and personal development in a more holistic manner.
